Sorry folks. Fiction Friday just isn’t happening this week.
I have a story I’d like to serialize, but it’s just not co-operating. I got bogged down writing an introduction to it, and I’m at the point where I need to step back from it for a bit.
The introduction is giving me a lot of trouble. I’ve been trying to wrangle it so that it gives a sense of what the story is about, creating an atmosphere, but I’m thinking it’s detracting from instead of adding to the story.
At this point I’m not even sure it needs an introduction.
Hopefully I’ll wrangle it into submission and post the first installment next Friday. Or a flash piece. Or something fictionish. But for this week, I’m throwing in the towel.
